Jenny Johnson Born 1957 Mt. Gambier South Australia
Winner - South East Art Society Art Awards 2015 - Sculpture - "Stone Arrangement"
Jenny's journey as an artist began with a watercolour class in 2003, after she ended a seven year stint in the harness racing industry
and found she had time on her hands. What started as a hobby soon became a passion and now, 10 years
later, her eclectic array of subjects has evolved to include still-life, abstract, floral, landscape and an uncontrollable
urge to use vibrant colour whenever possible. Her works have sold around Australia and overseas. She has recently tried her hand at
sculpting limestone, mined locally in the lower south east with some sucess and the new experience of working in 3D has been very rewarding.
Currently one of two artists in residence at Patrick of Coonawarra, a short drive from Penola on the Riddoch Highway,
Jenny has been exhiting her work for over five years.
